Your information

Privacy Policy

Published and effective October 18, 2026

This policy explains how TaskMate handles information when you use the app and this website. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@taskmate.fun.

Information you provide

  • Account and profile: your email address is used to send sign-in codes and authenticate your account. We store an account identifier, your display name, and your configured timezone. The timezone is a preference, not GPS tracking.
  • Spaces and tasks: we store Personal and shared Spaces, membership roles and dates, task titles and descriptions, recurring schedules, scheduled times, exceptions and schedule history so tasks appear on the appropriate calendar dates.
  • Completion and points: we store your checked tasks, occurrence dates, completion timestamps and awarded points to show your history and calculate progress. Completions belong to each member independently.
  • Reminders: we store your Daily Reminder preference and time. If you enable notifications on a device, we store an installation identifier and push registration information, including a push token, along with delivery status needed to send reminders.
  • Invitations: we process invitation recipient email addresses, sender and Space information, assigned roles, expiry and invitation status. Stored invitation authorization uses a token hash; the app keeps the raw invitation token only temporarily while handling the link.
  • Attachments: files you choose to upload and their filenames, types, sizes and attribution are stored privately for the associated task.
  • Support: if you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information you choose to include.

How information is used and shared

We use this information to authenticate you, provide tasks and history, manage Space access, calculate points and progress, deliver reminders, handle support and complete deletion requests.

Your Personal Space starts private. You can intentionally share it. Authorized members of a shared Space can see its tasks, attachments and member display names according to their roles. Group Progress shows aggregate completion and point information; it does not give members access to another member’s detailed completion records.

Share only content you intend other authorized members to see. Members may download files or copy information they can access. Removing access or deleting content cannot recall copies someone has already saved. Invitation links should be shared only with the intended recipient.

Notifications and device controls

Daily Reminders are optional. The account-level preference controls the reminder schedule. You can separately enable or disable registration on a device without changing that preference. Device permission is managed in iOS Settings. Reminder messages are generic and do not include task or Space details. An already-dispatched notification cannot be recalled.

Service providers and operational information

TaskMate uses Supabase for authentication, database storage, private file storage and server operations. Email delivery services process sign-in emails. Expo Push Service and Apple Push Notification service process device registration and delivery information when notifications are enabled. GitHub Pages hosts this website. These providers process information needed to operate their services and may maintain operational or security logs, including request or network information.

Providers may process information outside your country. Their infrastructure, backup and operational log retention follow the applicable provider arrangements and service settings. This policy does not promise a fixed backup or log deletion period.

Retention and account deletion

TaskMate retains account information and task history as needed to provide the service, until you remove it using the available controls or request account deletion. Archived tasks retain their history and attachments. You can request account deletion from Settings in the app; a recent sign-in is required.

Before deleting your account, transfer or explicitly delete any custom Spaces you own. Deleting a Space removes its tasks and history for all members. Your Personal Space is deleted with your account, even if you shared it.

Account deletion removes your profile, memberships, personal resources, reminder and device records, and your completion history and points in every Space. Definitions and attachments in surviving shared Spaces may remain available to their members with your creator or uploader attribution removed. Other members’ completion records are preserved. Invitations addressed to your deleted email are removed.

Deletion disables current access and reminders while server cleanup completes. If a storage or authentication service is temporarily unavailable, cleanup retries; signing out alone does not mean deletion is finished. Authentication is removed after required cleanup. Live-data deletion does not guarantee immediate erasure from provider backups or previously downloaded copies. Creating a new account later with the same email does not restore the deleted account’s history.

Security and your choices

TaskMate uses authenticated access checks and private attachment storage. Temporary download links expire, but a link already issued can remain usable until it expires. No service can guarantee absolute security.

You can update your profile and timezone, manage reminders, remove supported content, leave shared Spaces when permitted, and request account deletion. For questions about access, correction, deletion or other privacy requests, email us. We may need to verify your identity before acting on an account request.

No advertising or tracking SDKs

TaskMate does not include advertising or tracking SDKs. This website uses static HTML and CSS, with no analytics scripts, tracking cookies or external fonts. Hosting and service-provider operational logs are separate from website analytics.

We may update this policy when the service or its data practices change. The date above identifies this version.
